On Wednesday the 25th of June I was invited down to Penguin Books, 80 Strand, London, for the Penguin Design Award 2009. I had been awarded 'Highly Commended' for my Secret History book cover. It was a great event where I met up with the Penguin art team, judges and other shortlisted students. Later that evening we had some drinks, talked design and had a tour of Jonathan Barnbrook's studio in Soho.
Before I left London on the Thursday, I managed to fit in a quick visit to the Smithfield Gallery and saw United Visual Artists' new exhibition Deus. There was some amazing photography of light installations in quarries and woodland, well worth checking out!
